About Me

Lifeline Tonga
We are located in the Free Wesleyan Church of Tonga Head office, The Moulton Centre or "Molitoni". The Program is managed by Rev. Filifai'esea Lilo, and supported by five full time staff and many enthusiastic and valued volunteers. A non-denominational faith based crisis centre. Our small group of staff and volunteers work with the communities of Tongatapu (with a view to extend to outer islands in the future) as they face challenges and difficulties in the twenty-first century. The Lifeline Tonga/ Crisis Ministry has been developed out of a need in Tongan society to care for and provide essential services to those in crisis, particularly those who may not have community or familial support to overcome challenges and difficulties. The program intends to work within the community as a non-denominational service to provide emergency facilities, pastoral care, counselling and support for individuals and their families, in addition to participating in debates and discussions to reduce stigma, discrimination and mis-information about those in crisis. We are currently undergoing a period of program renewal; which includes increasing our outreach in the community.
